Venture operates South Australia’s first, largest and, we believe, best Adventure Based Learning facility. The Mount Lofty Adventure Hub is ideally located on the back of Mt Lofty, at the Woodhouse Activity Centre, in the Adelaide Hills. These facilities are available primarily for groups, however we do occasionally advertise “come n try” events, school holiday programs and family days. We offer an outstanding range of activities; High and Low Ropes, Climbing Wall, Zipline and our unique Mega Swing. In addition to this we also conduct a range of activities onsite – including Billy Carts, Orienteering, Mountain Biking and Problem Solving.
Our High Ropes course is the largest in SA – with a total of 17 elements ranging from 4 to 10 metres in height. The ropes course is situated in a forest which provides shelter from sun and wind all year round and an immersive experience amongst the trees.. The wide range of challenges on offer ensures that people of differing ability levels and with differing desired outcomes will be able to use the facilities to extend themselves beyond their normal ‘comfort zones’.
A well facilitated Challenge Ropes session (Low Ropes and High Ropes) offers groups countless opportunities for personal challenge, development of trust, communication and working closely in small groups.
Our Low Ropes course is adjacent to the High Ropes course, also in the pine forest. Activities such as Proutie’s Landing, Tension Traverse and Spider’s Web are great for getting teams working to support each other in reaching a common goal. The Low Ropes elements provide a great warm up for the more challenging High Ropes.
Our impressive Adventure Tower is 15 metres high and features SA’s highest Climbing Wall, with a variety of routes suitable for beginnners up. Our Zipline starts from the top of the tower and travels for a huge 320m, making it the longest in South Australia. The Tower also features 2 abseiling walls, beginner and advanced.
Our Mega Swing is unique to Venture Corporate Recharge and the only one of it’s type in South Australia. It is 18m high and carries 3 people. The Mega Swing requires no physicality or climbing to get on it (besides putting on a harness). Once strapped in, the swing is hauled into position before the ripcord is pulled and the plummet begins. A great way to polish off a day on the ropes. For more information head to www.megaswing.com.au
