Exercise can prevent depression, study finds

A recent international study has the numbers to show that exercise can prevent depression.

As we all know, life can get hectic and finding the time to exercise can be a struggle, but as Joel Thompon, player for Manly-Warringah in the National Rugby League, told ABC;s RN Drive program, “if things get too much, I like going to the beach, going for a swim, or going for a walk with the kids — it’s been really good for me.”

Let’s encourage our friends and family to participate in exercise, even if it is a light walk after work. Every bit counts and if it can prevent a disease such as depression, let’s not make it a chore, let’s make it a priority.
